Low Point: Louise’s potty mouth on No Swear Friday.<\/p>\n

No point: Getting upset about 2 mosquitoes in the truck.<\/p>\n

Panic of the day: Fuad panicking about a couple of mosquitoes and refusing to drive on until they were dealt with.<\/p>\n

It was a rainy start to the day so my apprehension about taking a dip could be forgiven.\u00a0 Well, not by Steve it couldn\u2019t, so after a bit of goading (more on this later) I was promptly dressed in my skimpy<\/em> swimming shorts.\u00a0 The water was cold but the spirits were high so overall an awesome start to the day! Unfortunately, Paul was unable to join the boys for dip as he has an unhealthy fear of sharks.\u00a0 Either that or he is a bit of a pansy!\u00a0 He did manage to dip his toes in with the girls\u2026<\/p>\n

\"Day<\/a> On to the main story of the day, we were scheduled for a visit to the local primary school.\u00a0 Give the kids a chance to find out about our trip and have a good look at Martha.\u00a0 Everything was going well, and I generally managed to stay out of trouble or cause any mayhem, it was No Swear Friday after all!\u00a0 Just after the horn off (the local fire fighters brought along their own engine), which Martha won by the way, we were presented with 3 drawings and the 3 young artists which drew them.\u00a0 All sounds innocent so far, right\u2026 While we were being photographed with the young artists,\u00a0 Jorgina Michael(the winner of the competition) looks over to me and says \u201cThat\u2019s you that is.\u201d pointing to the drawing.\u00a0 How sweet I\u2019m thinking but then I look closer at\u00a0 the painting.\u00a0 And sure enough, there I was.\u00a0 Brown shorts, check. Yellow shirt, check.\u00a0 Brown cap, check.\u00a0 Big head, check.\u00a0 Red fire engine, check.\u00a0 Unbelievable!\u00a0\u00a0 The painting must have been done a week earlier and the accuracy was shocking.\u00a0 Coincidence?\u00a0 I think not.\u00a0 It took me a good couple of hours to absorb and understand what was going on.\u00a0 I say understand, but I actually mean I had to accept that there were some things in life we can never understand.<\/p>\n

The other thing I wanted to blog about was the issue of \u2018Am I the worlds worst refugee?\u2019.\u00a0 I have somehow acquired this tag and Steve and the crew bring it up every possible occasion.\u00a0 So what if I don’t like mosquitoes.\u00a0 Sometimes it is too cold to go for a swim.\u00a0 Its not wimpy to wear long johns in the winter, even if you are in the office most of the day.\u00a0 And my track suit bottoms are for men, not women.\u00a0 Anyway, as you can see I\u2019m getting a lot of unnecessary abuse over here, but I am still having an amazing time!\u00a0 Australia rocks and this refugee for one loves it!<\/p>\n
